Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Tessa Gray should be happy - aren't all brides happy?
Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute.
A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her. (summary by Goodreads)

This was a beautiful ending to a great series.

Relationships:
Gideon and Sophie
Their relationship was one of my favorites in the book. The proposal scene was one of my absolute favorites.

Charlotte and Henry
were absolutely adorable as always

Jem and Will
Their relationship is one of the strongest in the TMI/TID series. Through them I learned the true meaning of friendship, a true friend is someone you would do anything for, even dying for them.

Jem and Tessa
I really found a new appreciation for them in this book. I realized that Tessa really does love him. There is also a possible future for them because of the epilogue.

Will and Tessa
Their relationship was absolutely amazing. Cassandra Clare put so much depth and heart into it. They love each other so much and that was made perfectly evident in many ways, from the wedding-anniversary bracelet to the poem in A Tale of Two Cities.

Important Life Lesson:
Another important thing to mention pertains to the epilogue. We see that Will and Tessa lived a long, happy life together. We also learn that Jem is no longer a silent brother when he goes to visit Tessa. There is a new future for the two of them.
I was mad about this at first. I though, "How could Tessa betray Will like that?" After thinking about it, I finally realized Cassandra Clare's message. It is possible to love two people, no matter what anyone else says.

Rating:
5 out of 5 stars
